Used EV procurement checklist for dealers & importers

Buy a specific vehicle with an evidence file, a written quotation and a destination plan. This checklist is guidance, not a live stock offer or a guarantee of import approval.

Updated 4 November 2026. GEVS procurement guidance; confirm current requirements with the relevant authority and carrier.

1. Identify the vehicle

Record the model, variant, Stock ID, VIN, model year and registration date. Request dated unit photographs and odometer evidence; model images are not proof of the offered vehicle.

2. Review condition and battery

Request the inspection scope, known damage, repair history and available battery diagnostics. Record the test date and method. Missing battery evidence must remain “unavailable”, not “passed”.

3. Confirm import eligibility

Before payment, ask the destination authority or qualified technical service about registration, conformity and charging compatibility for the exact unit. China export permission does not establish destination registration eligibility.

4. Compare the full quotation

Ask for currency, quantity, named FOB/CIF port, validity, availability and exclusions. Separate the vehicle, freight, insurance, destination handling, taxes and approval costs. Historical quotes are not current offers.

5. Approve shipment

Confirm carrier acceptance, documents and loading evidence before release. Agree how discrepancies are reported and resolved; keep the evidence with the signed transaction record.
