Current quotation versus historical reference

A current offer needs a written quote, currency, named FOB port, inclusions, validity and an availability check. When the quote expires or the vehicle is sold, retain the original date and label it historical; do not present it as today’s stock or price.

For a published price range, record the sample size, observation period, model years, trims, mileage bands, source method and exclusions. Separate asking prices from completed transactions. Do not calculate a market range from unmatched versions or unverified prices.

Battery and condition evidence

Link each result to the same unit. Record who tested it, when, which method and tool were used, and which items were not checked. Keep defects and unresolved faults visible alongside favourable findings. A brochure range is not a battery-health result.

Publish a real record

  1. Obtain the actual source files and permission to publish. Redact personal data and unnecessary VIN characters.
  2. Cross-check identity, dates, mileage, quotation scope and report references. Record the reviewer and any unresolved gaps.
  3. Publish the evidence links, current or historical status and a change log. Recheck availability before using a current-stock CTA.
