XPENG’s GX is one of the clearest examples of how Chinese premium new-energy vehicles are blurring the old boundary between battery-electric and extended-range products. Launched in May 2026, the full-size SUV is offered with both a pure-electric powertrain and XPENG’s “Super Range-Extended” system. For the used market, that matters because buyers can choose between maximum electric simplicity and long-distance flexibility without leaving the same vehicle family. Why the GX is important to the secondary market The GX arrived with flagship-level positioning but aggressive pricing for a full-size six-seat SUV. That combination can accelerate secondary-market turnover: premium buyers change cars quickly, while later buyers gain access to high-end equipment at a lower entry point. The two Ultra Flagship variants also serve different overseas use cases. Markets with dense fast-charging networks may favor the 750 km BEV, while regions with longer intercity distances or uneven charging coverage may find the 1,585 km extended-range version easier to operate. What the first used listings suggest Because the GX only launched in mid-2026, the used market is still dominated by nearly-new vehicles rather than mature three- or five-year-old stock. A Sina report published in August 2026 cited examples including a 750 km Ultra Flagship with about 1,700 km on the odometer and other GX variants registered only one or two months earlier. The narrow gap versus new-car pricing shows that early supply is still limited; a deeper depreciation curve may emerge only after fleet volume and owner trade-ins increase. Used-EV / Export Watch: For importers, the biggest questions are not only purchase price but also battery-health documentation, software language, connected-service availability, charging-standard compatibility and whether the destination market accepts range-extended powertrains under the same tax or homologation rules as pure EVs.

Blog takeaway: The GX 750 and GX 1585 create two different used-vehicle propositions on one premium platform. The BEV emphasizes fast charging and electric efficiency; the range-extended model emphasizes distance and energy flexibility. Early used inventory remains relatively young, so condition, warranty transferability and software support may matter more than headline discount alone.
